You might be thinking "Punch-Out? wtf it that?", or "Punch-Out, isn't it that old NES game?". Well, I'll be taking you through the whole Punch-Out series, starting with the original. Note that because I am lazy, I will skip the Super Punch-Outs.
Punch-Out, Arcade 1984This is the original game that started the series. It was about a green-haired boxer (unnamed) who went through the WVBA to become champion. He was wire framed so you can see the opponent. Its not really important except it started it.
Punch-Out, NES 1987 & 19905$ says this is the one you remember. Anyways, this is the one most people knew. It's about a 17 year old named Little Mac who goes to the WBVA to defeat all the opponents and win the title. I know I said WBVA, but first you had to defeat the Minor Circuit, then the Major Circuit, and finally, you get to the WBVA. Some characters you will know and possibly love are Glass Joe, King Hippo, and Mike Tyson. Iron Mike WAS part of the game, but he got removed in 1990 for his license expiring. He was replaced by Mr. Dream.
Punch-Out, Wii 2009That's why I have that cover up top. Yep, there's a one for the Wii. It came out on May 16th. To put it in a nutshell, it is the NES Punch-Out modernized and plays a little like the Arcade Punch-Out. Too all you NES Punch-Out lovers, get this game. Its fun
