Timetravel? Abundence of Energy? Blackholes?
These may all be possible in the near future!

For those of you who don't watch/read the news or know anything about Science then I'll update you on what the LHC is.

Funny enough the name is actually 'The Large Hadron Collider'.
The LHC is a multi-billion doller machine which is situated underground between Switzerland and France.
The machine is used to fire subatomic particles around the 28km circular machine at almost the speed of light to see what happens.
For the people who know a lot about physics, the reason for the test is to unify 3 of the 4 known fundamental forces, the 1 left out being gravity.

If done right with the correct materials it can make an energy source that is powerful enough to
-Power a Large City For 50 Years.
-Enable Timetravel Using Blackhole/Wormhole Technology
-Create a Black hole So Scientists Can Study Dark Matter and Work Out If The Big Bang Happened and If There Is Any Other Universes Out There.

This actually happened today at 5:15 AUS time, before I say anymore, the test was successful and in October they are going to start testing the first high-energy collisions.

There was an English Teacher out there that had a theory that the LHC was going to create a black hole that would consume the earth as soon as the device was switched on.
Many scientists agreed with him though there for no proof in favor of his theory so really he was just guessing that something would happen in hope for media attention. The LHC rumor spread across the world and the media so much in fact that on most channels yesterday it was mentioned several times.

This theory was seen as true by so many people, the company that created the LHC went to court last night about the issue. The company was aloud to commence testing because there was no evidence that it was possible for the LHC to create a black hole that could destroy the earth.

Since the test was successful and the company split the proton, that English teacher must be feeling pretty stupid right about now. Those Scientists would probably be mocked for the rest of the year by there fellow Science buddies as they agreed that a black hole was going to form when really it was simply impossible.

So, what do any of you think about this, what do you think humans could learn from this new technology?

Personally I believe that time travel is impossible as there is no proof that time is a physical force but instead a tool created by humans for organization. I also think that parallel dimension theory is just idiotic as someone just assumed that it was possible without any proof. It is no more right than the myth that a god exists.

This might be able to save the fuel crisis but whether or not it will, I just don't know. I don't know much about dark matter and the energy in protons and increasing the age of electrons.

Have any of you guys heard about this LHC and if you have what do you think it will enable humans to do?
